Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a profound, yet subtle and gentle approach which
utilizes the human body’s natural ability to heal itself. The central nervous system has a lot of
influence over your health and well-being. Few body systems have more impact on the CNS than
the craniosacral system – the soft tissues and fluid that surround and protect your brain and spinal cord.
The body absorbs stresses and strains over time and our body's can only endure so much before the tissues begin to tighten and affect the brain and spinal cord. Unfortunately, this can compromise the function of the central nervous system and nearly every other system in the body.
What to Expect from a BCST Session:
BCST is about restoring the nervous system back into a state of balance. When we slow ourselves down enough we can feel into our bodies with a new awareness. Our body has these subtle rhythms of movement that are natural expressions of health. All living things are breathing at a cellular level and exchanging fluid to maintain this health.
As a BCST therapist, we are trained to feel these rhythms with sensitive knowing hands in order to help identify places where the expression of health needs optimizing. Through light touch and a calm centered presence; a trained, balanced, resourced nervous system innately guides your body to remember its' inner health and wisdom. Sensing this safety, it begins to unfold and reorganize towards a more communicative and efficient expression of health. Trauma from pre-conditional forces such as accidents, whiplash, illness, birth affects and psycho-emotional or social experiences can disentangle from the body without disrupting these delicate internal environments.
Support and encouragement offers these natural, fluid systems to reestablish a harmonious flow physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and cellular.
Benefits of cumulative Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy:
After moving through a series of treatments which vary for each individuals system, due to their life experiences, clients report coming into more health or a relationship with their own potency. Once these patterns begin to shift, changes may be noticed in your bones and vitality of life with
a sense of integration in your body, mind and spirit.
* BCST clears restrictions or held energy in fascia tissues of the body.
* BCST improves organ function and elasticity to muscles.
* BCST aids in bone marrow, down to the individual cells.
* BCST assists better sleep patterns, mental clarity and personal direction.
* BCST encourages physical longevity, emotional focus and a more energized life.
* BCST offers resilient and functional improvement to whole nervous system health.
Sessions are knowingly client-led, emphasizing bodily sensation and awareness to internal resourcing for personal growth. Health resolutions that occur within these sessions occur only when the client’s system feels safe and ready to do so. There is importance of processing slowly and in doing so the body peels away any remaining triggers often physically and unknowingly to the recipient. Thus a journey of cumulative sessions is key to healthy recovery and sustainability.
How does a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Session feel?
The recipient is fully clothed during the session, generally on a massage table although sometimes seated. In a BCST session you may feel or experience the following response:
*Relax so deeply that you may fall asleep
* Feel as if you are dreaming while awake
* Experience memories or insights while on the table
* Enter a quiet meditation-like state with present awareness
* Enjoy a pleasant sense of warmth, softening, widening or floating
After the session, you may:
* Stand straighter and taller
* Feel relaxed, but also energized
* Feel more comfortable in your body
* Notice an improvement in your sleep patterns
* Find yourself breathing more fully, smoothly and deeply
* Feel a new sense of peace, ease and renewal as you leave or even days after
Virginia will check in with you after. Take this opportunity to find words for your experience and reflect on how differently you feel after your session. Notice how you are in the world, days after as there can be residual varying affects.
* What is the quality of your sleep that night and possibly the following days too?
* How is your digestion? Perhaps subtle adjustments of improvement or healthy shifts.
* How is your overall experience of life? Subtle inner awareness to mood and behavior.
By paying attention to the lasting effects of this work you will be able to gauge what the cumulative progress of this light touch therapy offers your whole body as a system.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a unique and gentle, touch based therapy that acknowledges the health in the body.
Join me in supporting your nervous system with a few sessions and sense for yourself!
Since CranioSacral Therapy is so gentle, it is safe for virtually anyone, including infants, elderly, chronically ill people, pregnant women, and children. There are a few times, however, where CST is not advisable. Please check with your doctor upon proceeding.
*Any condition where a change of intracranial pressure would be harmful.
*Immediately after a recent stroke or aneurism.
*A recent unevaluated closed head injury.

“When I started working with Virginia, it felt like my life was falling apart. Virginia's Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy sessions really helped me process and work through a lot of stress, mental blocks and panic. Virginia is fantastic, I highly recommend her for self healing, craniosacral treatments.”
– Janis B., 26 years Legal Assistant Calgary
“ Hello there, at 34 years old I was diagnosed with young onset Parkinson's disease after encountering severe stiffness and difficulties using my arm, as well as noticing a change in my otherwise pleasant disposition. Upon diagnosis I was left with a lot of questions, uncertainty and frustration about the news I had received and started looking for options to help me cope and manage the situation. Virginia's name came up via a local support group and the abbreviations BCST. So I looked into this form of treatment called Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and saw her the following week. From the first meeting, I was made comfortable, relaxed and informed about exactly what was going to happen and what exactly to expect.
I was a bit skeptical at first which is my natural tendency but after the first couple of sessions my mind and body were put at ease by her touch and ability to connect and sense how I felt and where I was not well. She helped me gather my thoughts and relax when I would show up stressed out and tense. I would leave feeling like I had the ability to sleep that night, after not sleeping properly for days during my medication trial and error phase. Overall I felt my mood was elevated, my body was more balanced and I was less tense during a difficult time in my life. I would highly recommend her to anybody looking to improve their quality of life, Illness or not. Her multifaceted approach to healing the body and mind are wonderful. Her training and genuine concern for your well-being are immediately apparent from the first session and the benefits follow. With all of that, her flexible scheduling and ease of making appointments added to the list of positive marks. Keep up the good work; you have a great skill set that has to be experienced.
Thank you” - Richard, Former Manager
“Somatics” is the study of the self from the perspective of one’s lived experience,
encompassing the dimensions of body, psyche, and spirit. - Thomas Hanna
Hanna Somatic Education -
Methods of somatic education teach specialized somatic movement techniques in systematized ways that are specific to each method. Well-known methods of somatic education include Clinical Somatic Education (also known as Hanna Somatic Education), Gentle Somatic Yoga ( Thomas Hanna Somatic ) the Feldenkrais Method and the Alexander Technique.
Many methods include the use of both hands-on movements, guided by a certified practitioner and self-care movements, which are practiced by the student on a regular basis at home. One of the tenets of all forms of somatic education is that students should be responsible for their own health and learning.
Our role is to empower students to take care of themselves by repeating the tools so change is sustained over a long term regime, improving their posture, movement and function cumulatively in their lives.
A somatic movement, generally speaking, is one which is performed consciously with the intention of focusing on the internal experience of the movement rather than the external appearance or result of the movement. The term somatic has become a bit of a buzzword in the health and wellness industry. The word somatic means “of or relating to the living body,” and it has long been used in medical terminology like somatic cell, somatic nervous system, somatic disorder, and somatic pain.
The term somatic can be used to describe a variety of forms of movement and healing modalities, such as somatic yoga, somatic experiencing, somatic psychology, somatic therapy, or somatic dance therapy. You may have even heard of somatic education!
The term somatic education was coined by Thomas Hanna. Hanna used the term somatic education to describe methods of sensory-motor education that use somatic movement to improve motor control and sensation and change learned muscular patterns.
What is Sensory Motor Amnesia?
We experience Sensory Motor Amnesia (SMA) when the brain forgets how to relax; tight, contracted muscles that are, in effect, on “cruise control. ”The Sensory and Motor Cortex" are
area of systems in your brain that receive information from the environment and allow us to respond accordingly through movement.
As we age, we experience stress in various forms and we develop habits that result in storing pain and tension subconsciously. In effect, the brain forgets how to move the muscles and also forgets which muscles are contributing to the pain. In other words, with SMA, the muscles stay contracted and you feel muscular pain even when you “think” the body “should” be relaxed.
What to Expect from Gentle Somatic Yoga:
Somatics is much safer than many other modalities as well with its approach of gentleness, listening to the body’s signals while movement takes place. One important ingredient to the
main technique we use, called “pandiculation” is very slow, controlled voluntary motion as mentioned above.
This slowness is the fastest way to change the signals from brain to muscle and the pace enhances strengthening. Pause and rest after movement flows, encourages the brain to reset and calibrate while repetition solidifies the healthy pattern of movement. A short set of somatics makes a perfect “pre-warm up” for other physical activities, as it brings the muscles
to optimum resting length and function, increases circulation, enhances awareness & control, therefore serves as a very effective injury preventative method.
Many people find somatic movement education methods to be highly effective in relieving chronic pain, improving bodily function, and recovering from common musculoskeletal conditions.

I am a horse trainer assistant and am always shoveling and taking care of the horses, noticeably from my right side, as Virginia pointed out after assessing my posture. I showed her that my right thumb couldn't fold into my palm, due to repetitive work patterns.
I was shocked when Virginia educated me on these slow movements and the effects on brain rewiring.
Within 3 minutes of completing a hand exercise with her assistance, she had me rest for a few breathes. I was in complete awe when we retested and that I gained an 80% range of movement of my thumb.
Thank you so much for your knowledge and training in Somatics so I can take home these self-care tools. I promise to remember to do a little each day to reprogram my bad habits.

I am a banking executive who had a car accident 18 months ago and I'm in severe pain on my left side. Virginia explained how my nervous system was likely in hyper-arousal and how the calming affects of BCST and Somatics benefited her system after her MVA. She assessed my range of motion in my left hand and shoulder, then applied a few movements while I concentrated on a smooth slowing exhale. She interrupted me with purpose, had me inhale and exhale again until it was smooth. We paused for regular breaths and then retested my range. Much to my surprise I had more ease and flexibility in squeezing my hand and then the tightness at my neck and shoulder had decreased from an 8 to a 5. All of this in a matter of 20 minutes at a trade show!! Thanks Virginia for making me feel safe and giving me hope.

HISTORY OF ESSENTIAL OILS:
Since ancient times and from the beginning of recorded history the plant kingdom has provided rare and powerful extracts and essences that have long been prized for their beauty enhancing, medicinal, spiritual, aromatic and therapeutic value as Nature’s Source for health, healing, vitality and longevity!
Aromatic plants, essences and oils have been used for ages in ceremony, religious observances, beauty care, food preparation and preservation, as incense and for perfumes. Aromatic plants have also been the basis for herbal and botanical medicines and remedies for thousands of years. In fact, they’re the root of today’s pharmaceuticals. The earliest essential oils usage evidence occurs in the period of 3000-2500 B.C. It’s common for Egyptians to be given credit as the first culture to use aromatic extracts for beauty care, culinary uses, spiritual and physical well-being. But it is believed that essential oil-like extracts were also being used in China and India at nearly the same time. Depending on who is citing historical evidence, you can also find references to Ayurvedic uses of essential oils in India much earlier.
Here is some lineage of the findings of zone therapy technique. Through research, Dr. Ersdal was able to chart the human anatomy as it relates to these “points” on the foot. He charted the entire physiology including the brain, blood and lymph circulation, and musculature. He determined that the body contains its own innate healing intelligence which is stimulated or triggered through specific and intricate zones on the foot. This method utilizes the feet’s natural “signal” system to establish balance, elevate your life energy and renew cells in the body. Importantly, the body consistently responded as a dynamically interrelated whole system, rather than as separate symptomatic parts.
Zone Therapy or otherwise known as Reflexology today, is precise, directed pressure to the various “zones” of the feet. When a signal point is triggered within a certain zone, a message goes to the tissue or organ affected, through a reflex arc to the spinal cord and then it is sent to the brain to determine further processing.
Discomfort, tenderness or pain is experienced in the areas of the foot where a relationship of imbalance may be present. This is an area that requires more attention with light touch for support, directed toward self-healing.
Applied Reflexology through the 10 zones on the feet, stimulates every organ and associated region, renewing the cellular system by drawing oxygenated blood to the surrounding tissue in relationship to the organ, it aids in moving energy and waking up tissue, tone or elasticity.
Vita Flex technique was developed by the Tibetans thousands of years before acupuncture. Its literally meaning is "vitality through the reflexes". The premise is that slight pressure applied to the body creates an electric charge that is therapeutic to the body. This is known as piezoelectric. The pressure comes from the rolling motion of the finger pads, tips and nails, creates the stimulation similar to how an electric switch or circuit works.
The electrical energy that is produced during the technique transfers to the nerve pathways, is how Vita Flex works. Once the energy finds a gap in the circuit, it repairs the break in the pathway that is creating the imbalance in the body. Analogy example; If there is a short in the wire along an electrical circuit that is controlling a light, the light would not function. When the short is repaired, the circuit would "reset" and the function would be restored!
The use of essential oils enhances the process as they also contain electromagnetic properties. Therefore, the combined application ensures the process that much more and drives the oils into the corresponding reflex points.
ESSENTIAL OIL INFORMATION:
If you are thinking about creating a habit that includes the use of essential oils, keep in mind that you take all measures to assess your needs, to make informed decisions about essential oils, aromatherapy and what benefits essential oils may support you. Ask and be advised by your medical doctor for your personal health assurances.
What Is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the use of aromatic essential oils derived from plants for the purpose of enhancing the well-being of one's physical or psychological health. Aromatherapy has been been used for centuries as an alternative medicine that safely and effectively treats numerous ailments.
To create essential oils, the natural oils in certain plants are extracted and distilled, resulting in an extremely concentrated product packed with healing benefits.
Essential oils used in aromatherapy trigger responses in the brain that send healing to the body. These oils can balance out hormone levels, heal digestive disorders, and dramatically reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Scientific studies have shown that aromatherapy is a completely legitimate form of medicine. By inhaling essential oils, nerves in the nose, trigger powerful brain responses. Similarly, topical application (with a carrier oil) allows these essential oils to quickly enter the bloodstream by being absorbed through skin tissue.
DoTerra has very specific quality reassurance process from start to finish, to ensure their products.
What to Expect from a Uniq Aromatherapy Session:
The recipient may choose to be clothed at their waste with the back and feet exposed in order to apply the essential oils, lying face down on a massage table. An alternative position is to be seated and fully clothed where the application is on the recipients feet/lower legs, hand/lower arms and head/neck. As well the face and hands encompassing all aspects of the internal body, for the alternative option.
Sessions offer a sense of whole body renewal & re-balancing, positively supporting the body’s healthy autonomic function.
The progressive absorption of the 8 specific oils, along the spine & feet, harmonize the body's system & provides you with a luxurious essential oil experience.
As an old holistic system of health, known for its light tough techniques & clinical approach, it enhances health to the recipients’ central nervous system, optimal immune system & organ function related to spinal connectivity for days after a session.
This slow, layered process gives your system the opportunity to unwind and let go of residual patterns of held health, possibly toxic build up that the body was unable to release fully on its'own.
Benefits of cumulative Uniq Aromatherapy:
Within a SA session, applied reflexology and or zone therapy techniques are used on the feet to encourage the body’s natural healing capability by stimulating and supporting the following below:
* hormone balance / optimal endocrine system
* rejuvenating life force / energy potency
* digestion / elimination / lymph flow
* assimilation / blood circulation
* cell renewal and regeneration
* improving harmony within the body
* function of autonomic nervous system
* reassess the body’s current state of health
After a session from Virginia, you may experience signs which include a release of chronic muscle tension, lowered mental & physical stress or a feeling of euphoria. We advise you drink plenty of water after, to continue flushing toxins & clearing the sensation of stagnant energy.
It is advised to check in with your doctor and perhaps a Registered Aromatherapist for further precautions in your individual situation of concern and possible allergic response.

“I must say I really do think your Uniq Raindrop Therapy session made a difference. Whenever I go away, especially to a festival, I ALWAYS get sick. The last weekend in June, right after my session with Virginia, I was at a little festival, camped for 4 nights and I came back with only a little scratch in my throat, which, after getting some rest in my own bed, went away after one night! So I definitely think it helped my Immune system.
My wrist also, as mysteriously as it came, has stopped hurting. I’m not too sure if that has anything to do with our session, but I won't leave out the possibility as some of the oils used are beneficial for joints.
But right away, when I left, I really did notice the effects; which I believe also had to do with spending some time with such an amazing person like you! I felt a bounce in my step; I walked taller, had such energy & confidence the whole day.
It truly was a wonderful experience and I thank you! I hope to be able to book another session with you soon!”

“I have a high stress job and I am never really able to relax, let alone feel rested. I didn’t know what to expect, but Virginia explained what a session will look like and how I might feel afterward too. To my amazement, I felt a little dizzy after lying face down for 75 mins.
Hhhm she mentioned that. Then when I walked out of her room I felt kinda floaty and my wife asked what she had done to me because she’d never seen me so relaxed in our 10 yrs of marriage.
Virginia suggested that I take up to 30 minutes to sit, drink water and allow my system to settle. It was awesome to know that my body could actually feel this great. Thanks Virginia!“

Thai Yoga Bodywork:
In a unique way, Thai yoga massage blends elemental techniques of acupressure, yoga, reflexology,
shiatsu, physiotherapy, meditation, energy healing and Ayurveda using light touch therapy for wellness.
You lye on a covered mat on the floor or a massage table, fully clothed except for shoes and socks.
The use of thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, feet, knees and even shins to press and stretch your
body to release restrictions in ones tissues. Sometimes with the use of aromatherapy, although
it is less traditional, manual yoga stretching feel amazing.
'Thais believe that good health and freedom from pain result from the unhindered flow of vital
energies through the body's connective tissues and with regular, cumulative Thai yoga massage
sessions, muscles resume their normal resting length, which deceives the brain into 'thinking'
that all is well and it reduces chronic tightness, increases circulation and for joint mobility
Its mechanics and foundation show a strong Indian, Ayurveda and Yogic influence, but a very
disciplined emphasis on energy channels bridges a link with Traditional Chinese Medicine and
techniques of acupressure as a form of holistic health.
Thai Traditional medicine has existed for over 1000 years, in pretty much the same form that is
used today. Its recent world-wide spread has been quite phenomenal for whole body health .
What to Expect from a Uniq Thai Yoga Bodywork Session?
You lye on a mat on the floor or table, fully clothed, shoes removed. Your Thai Practitioner
Virginia, uses her thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, feet, knees and even shins to press and
stretch your body and connective tissue. The Thai people believe resolution from the unhindered
flow of vital energies through the body's tissues is said to free the trapped energy vortexes or
holding patterns where tension and pain reside.
The main 'channels' for distributing these energies are called 'Sen'. Varying Sen channels are
pressed repeatedly from every direction, with the relative positions of the limbs and trunk
being constantly changed. Again the process is quite thorough, to release blockages or
stagnation which result in pain and tightness.
When Virginia, your Thai Practitioner is satisfied that the soft tissues have been adequately
pressed, stretching begins. This may be the active participation of yogic nature that influences
the Thai Practitioners training and skill.
This will be subtle at first but gradually progresses to the elegant, large scale stretches.
Benefits of Cumulative Uniq Thai Yoga Bodywork:
The Thai have long recognized that most musculo-skeletal pain and lack of mobility of the joints
is the result of muscles shortening under the influence of repetitive strain and the lack of natural
interstitial fluids. Tension and spasm in a muscle are the result of a vicious circle of events
involving the muscle and its sense organs; those muscles that are antagonistic to it and the brain.
The more tense the muscle becomes, the shorter it gets and the brain interprets this as contraction,
thus inhibiting the function of the antagonistic muscles, which weaken as a result.
The pressing techniques of Thai Yoga Bodywork;
* prepare muscles for stretching by increasing their permeability to the flow of Sen Energies
* fluid tissue gains more elasticity from the pressing and palming
* the manipulations are designed to stretch the muscles a little more through assisted method
* regular sessions offers opportunity for muscles to regain their normal resting length
* deceives the brain into 'thinking' that all is well and it stops inhibiting the antagonists
* tension disappears, joint mobility is restored and gives access to a healthy life with freedom
* muscles are the ultimate target, but fibrotic connective tissue/fascia health is key to vitality
* improved blood flow, circulation and a relaxed nervous system function
How does a Uniq Thai Yoga Bodywork session feel?
Different from other forms of bodywork - smoothness, rhythm and flow are three words that
come to mind when Virginia supports your body's needs preceding a mini consultation before each session, to uniquely devise a Thai session for your individual, holistic health needs.
Virginia is well known for her light touch and is capable of adapting to a moderate touch. Her sessions host a slow fluid rhythm or flow, so as to allow your natural system to adapt to self activating one's Relaxation Response. Your breathing is monitored and guided at times as an important health aspect, so each technique melts into the next with total economy of motion; it feels like a beautifully choreographed performance.
First time recipients of a Uniq Thai Yoga Bodywork sessions may respond differently; some find the pressing
techniques, a little uncomfortable while others are elated at the degree of flexibility and movement their stiff body can achieve in a short duration of time.
Almost all feel relaxed, refreshed and much more flexible during as well afterward the session.
Recipients who commit to regular Uniq Thai Yoga Bodywork ( minimum 2x per month ) are amazed at results and show excitement to the health of their new found body.

"When I was introduced to Virginia, I explained that I hadn't slept through the night in over 10 years. She listened to my words of desperation, thus educating me about the many layers of the body in terms I understood. She talked about a system of pulleys in relationship with my whole body.
I realized that my whole career was working with my body bent forward and that due to 30 years of repetition my front and backside were locked or stuck in chronic tightness.
I do yoga 3 days per week, which does help keep me limber, but I still don't sleep through the night.
She offered me a 75 minute session late in the afternoon so I could continue to relax after. I was amazed that I slept through the night. I actually had to think if I had gotten up, nope!
I wish Virginia lived closer to me, so I could commit to more of her style of Thai Massage. I'm glad it wasn't painful, 'cuase I probably woulda snapped in half. Thanks again.

Virginia's private classes are approached with a "personalized" touch, with a knowing of how your body speaks via physical expression. As yoga and movement is open to exploring ones edge, they are therefore suitable for all levels of recipients. Virginia is highly trained with almost a decade of experience and is sensitive to students health concerns. She herself adapted many postures around her body's needs during her 7 years of managing chronic pain from a car accident.
Her teaching style offers students to move slowly while developing, connecting concepts and layering forms toward the encompassing postures with attention to breath, for a whole body experience each session, like it’s your first time. Virginia takes pleasure in accommodating and meeting your needs, understanding and ability of inner connection, rather than outer physical form of a posture.
She encourages students of all ages and ability, to be intuitive within their body's; exploring, expressing and experiencing all the senses dynamically. In her eyes there is always a way to make adjustments to participate in yoga and movement. In this way yoga does become accessible to anyone present, as individual as we all are.
Virginia is known for her laid back personality, light atmosphere and fresh ways of incorporating yoga into a lifestyle choice that is accepting, informative and fun. Whether it be on a mat, in a chair or standing, she is committed to possibilities. Her Uniq group classes support a maximum of 6 students, giving each student great attention.

Uniq Restorative Yoga:
This is a great way to reduce stress in your life. The nurturing, supportive practice offers a refuge from the daily accumulation of stress. Based on the Iyengar tradition, postures are held with the use of props to allow you to hold the postures for an extended period of time. The long holds are between 5 - 20 minutes and they give the body's nervous system an opportunity of letting go. A cumulative practice will show signs of a calmer system.
Virginia's expertise and empathy in the juicy postures come from her own journey with yoga. Some of the 'easiest' poses were so difficult for her and it took her body/system years to be at a relaxed state. This is a great compliment to other forms of activity and excellent for recuperation, hypersensitivities, sleep deprivation, whiplash, muscle stiffness and forms of arthritis and pain concerns.
Private sessions will range from 75 - 90 minutes as time is needed to set up each posture and for the body to let go gradually.
Benefits of Uniq Restorative Yoga:
* release and lengthen without straining your body or tissues
* freeing up chronic tension
* free ones' mind from its’ conditioned restraints
* feeling restored and refreshed
* a partnership with your bodily response mechanism
* improved sleep patterns
* increased energy for everyday life
Uniq Yin Yoga:
Yin is a rich complement to the more muscular forms of activity. It emphasizes the deep release of connective tissues, primarily through the hips, thighs, pelvis and lower spine. Dynamic movement and pandiculation provides the body's system the opportunity to expand and regain its' fluid elasticity.
Postures are held for longer periods of time after the dynamic movement, anywhere between 3-10 minutes. While the core focus afterward, gives vast improvement in physical flexibility and sets the foundation for deepening, or establishing a meditation practice.
This can be quite challenging for students of any age and physical health. Using the breath to focus the mind so it becomes centered and calm as stillness prevails.
Once the mind is calm, observation can be present. Mindfulness is good for your body and your mind as to aids in increasing grey matter density. What this means for you is the increased ability to tune out distractions, improve memory, attention and skills, regulate emotions and while drawing awareness to signals of the onset of anxiety and depression.
Benefits of Uniq Yin Yoga:
* improved range of motion
* more fluid and elasticity of tissues
* increased flexibility
* create a sense of space in vertebrae and length of spine
* promotes stress reduction
* balance within SNS and PNS
* centering and grounding the body, mind, spirit through breath and stillness
The benefits are innumerable and continue to unfold within the rise of receptivity to the neutral unfolding of events both inner and outer.
Private sessions will range from 75 - 90 minutes as time is needed to set up each posture and for the body to let go gradually.
* High blood pressure; probably the most important yoga poses to avoid are inversions. This is because when the head is below the heart, there's an increased risk of stroke.
* Imbalance of ear fluid
* Fractures, unsteady blood sugars, glaucoma, infectious disease, possible acute injury recovery

"It was so nice to have been introduced to yoga with Virginia. I have rheumatoid arthritis and didn't ever think I could go to yoga. She has knowledge in many areas of health and the body's anatomy which gave me a sense of confidence to work with her. I tried a 6 week series with her, did my bits of homework and she noticed a big difference after session 2, that I had more movement in my pelvis. I agreed and thought earlier in the week 'there's no way, it can't be from this!' But it's all that I had done so ... I never could get up from the floor easily at all since my RA diagnosis and symptoms.
Virginia makes my private sessions enjoyable to attend, she cares and offers safe adjustments geared for me."

"I am a bit clumsy as I age and don't have much muscle tone, strength or stability. Virginia educated me on stability/strength and then mobility/flexibility. We began weekly sessions in a small group of four friends, then I broke off and had privates as I liked the advantage of the individual attention.
I noticed her compassion in supporting me in doing my homework in between 'cause she could tell when I didn't do it and we shared conversation about self commitment.
Within weeks I felt more confidence, stable to walk in my heels of all things, I gained more strength and the flexibility took some time, but I eventually saw the difference.
This a gave me courage to go to a gym again at 55 years young!! You are a blessing Virginia.
